Description

We pick You up from your hotel at the scheduled hour and we embark on the tour. During 1 hour long ride through the highway with air-conditioned mini van, your expert guide will point you in the day ahead and introduce you to the history of the area.

Our first stop is the historic seaside city of Šibenik, ancient seat of Croatian kings, situated at the point where Krka River meets the sea. Take a guided tour through the pebble stoned narrow streets of the Old town, and hear the interesting story behind its most known historical landmark and UNESCO World Heritage site, St.James Cathedral. Free time offers you the opportunity for a coffee, breakfast or shopping.

After Šibenik, we are on our way to Krka National park. Our first destination is Roški slap, exceptional area made up of a 22.5.m high main waterfall and countless backwaters, cascades and travertine islands, which the locals called the ‘Ogrlice- necklaces‘. Guided tour introduce you to this area and free time gives you the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the area and to explore on your own.

We continue to explore Krka River, and it’s mesmerizing areas. Along the way you will enjoy breathtaking views, like the panorama of Visovac islet.
Our next stop is Skradinski buk, a perfect getaway for all true nature lovers. Skradinski buk is the last of seven waterfalls on the Krka River, spread over 17 steps and 800 meters in length and one of the most unusual and most beautiful landscape images of the National Park.

Your guide take you through the major landmarks in the park and do a fascinating tour of an authentically restored ensemble of stone small houses, workshops, exhibits and watermills. Afterwards there is plenty of free time. Take in the abundance of beauty, enjoy a beautiful walk through forest pathways and wooden bridges designed to let you experience the rich diversity of flora and fauna there.

Lots of picnic areas and the restaurant offers you the opportunity for lunch inside the park.

She had a lot of information about the park the trip and about all aspects of our trip. We had a great time on this tour of Krka waterfalls. The trip was very smooth and well organised and, needless to say, the waterfalls themselves were breath-taking. Jelena our guide made the trip especially memorable - she was enthusiastic, friendly and funny and kept us entertained on the journey there and back with plenty of information about the local area, and interesting facts and anecdotes about Croatian history and life today. This was a fantastic tour of Plitvice lakes and waterfalls. Our tour guide Antonella was brilliant - very friendly, knowledgable and patient. She explained everything very clearly about what would happen and where we would go (as we were a big group!) and she made us feel very well looked after inside the park. Needless to say, the waterfalls were beautiful and we were amazed by it all. A great day!
