All-day tour on the island of Brac, the highest island of Adriatic sea, and one of the most beautiful, and historically richest island. Whole day of enjoyment with lots of free time for sightseeing and swimming with lunch included.
Adventure begins with 45 minute ferry ride to Supetar, with a beautiful panoramic view of Split and the mountains in the background. Tour includes transportation with off road Land Rover vehicle, that provides guests more comfort during the trip .
We start the tour with sightseeing of Škrip where we also learn about the history of this 5000 years old town. Visit of the Museum of Brac with the guidance of a professional guide. The museum includes settlement of the ambiental stone houses, ancient Illyrian walls, Roman mausoleum and Croatian fort, with a rich collection of roman stone monuments and late antique and early medieval monuments. In addition, guests will learn about the interesting ethnographic collection. Sightseeing of Radojkovic tower built in the 16th century.
After getting familiar with the long history and importance of the island a short drive across the island brings us up to Vidova gora, the highest point of all the Adriatic islands located 778 m above sea level. Vidova gora was named after the Church of St. Vid from the 13th century. Guests can enjoy the unique panoramic view over the Hvar canal all the way to the south. When the weather is clear you can even see the peaks of the Apennine Mountains. Great opportunity for unforgetable photographs.
After Vidova gora it is time for a lunch on a family farm. You will enjoy authentic local products, fresh dalmatian fish and vegetables, taste olive oil, grappa and wine.
After lunch we are off to Bol, the most famous place on the island , known for its famous beach, a phenomenon of nature Golden horn (Zlatni rat). Free time for sightseeing, lunch and swimming with the familiar sound of crickets and distinctive smell of pine trees .
After returning to Supetar, guests have enough time left for sightseeing Supetar, the largest town on the island of Brac and also the economic and cultural center of the island. Supetar history stretches back to the time of Roman emperors, as evidenced by the remains of an early Christian mosaics from the 6th century. Supetar is famous for its many artists who lived here and left a deep mark.
After a day on one of the most interesting Croatian islands, it's time to go home.
