Plitvice Lakes with Picnic Lunch
Highlights
Description
We'll start our journey by picking you up in front of your accommodation in Split or nearby. Together with the professional guide we'll head to Plitvice National park. The oldest National Park in Croatia, and one of the most beautiful in the world, a magical place from the postcards, a chain of 16 terraced lakes joined by waterfalls that extend into a limestone canyon, will surely make an impression.
Once we are at the Park, you'll start to explore the lakes with your experienced local guide. We'll explore Upper lakes first, it's a 7 km long route with fantastic views all along the way. Next, we'll take a panoramic electric train ride through the forest.
Around 02.00 PM, just in time for lunch, we'll organize a memorable and unique picnic, on a meadow with a view on a Great waterfall, the biggest waterfall in Croatia. We'll arrange fresh food delivery from a local restaurant and prepare a picnic basket. We'll bring blankets, pick a most desirable spot, and arrange and carefully decorate everything for you. You just have to relax and enjoy.
Our picnic basket contains a bottle of Croatian vine, juice, water, rustic sandwiches, salad, pasta and a dessert, with all cutlery and dishes. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available.
After you finish your meal, we'll walk around the Lower lakes and enjoy the spectacular views.
As the final touch, we'll take a boat cruise across Kozjak lake, and experience the Great waterfall and it's memorable thunder from a close distance.
